LAST GOOD TOOTH DEBUT ALBUM, NOT WITHOUT WORK AND REST, RELEASED ON TEAM LOVE RECORDS

Last Good Tooth came together like many bands do… as teenagers, smoking grass and aping their favorite band of the moment in their parents' garages across the country. In the case of Last Good Tooth, that band was the Black Keys which is a bit shocking once you hear the first notes of Not Without Work and Rest trickle through your speakers. You see, the band is stunning when it comes to melodies, at carving out a line with a guitar that leads you straight into the first lyric of the songs while at the same time invoking some sort of strange Gordon Gano-ish Appalachian voodoo.

Well before the sessions for their debut were underway, word of their spirited live shows reached the offices of Team Love Records in New Paltz, NY. The band eventually dropped in on the sleepy Hudson Valley town and shook things up at the local dive bar, leading the room full of inebriated youth into a singalong of a Michael Hurley song. Later they played along side an abandoned thespian camp to a field of hedonists and swimming-hole experts. All of this left a strong impression on the folks at Team Love, and the plans for their debut album took root.

Recorded over the summer and fall of 2011, Not Without Work and Rest is a record for the young and the old, offering up tinges of mystery alongside a familiar warmth.
Last Good Tooth formed in Providence, RI and is currently based in New York State. The band is made up of Penn Sultan (Guitars), Kevin Sullivan (Bass), Arthur Kapp (Drums), and Alex Spoto (Fiddles) Not Without Work and Rest is out now on Team Love Records.

WORLD RENOWNED NATIVE AMERICAN ARTIST ROBERT MIRABAL UNVEILS HIS LATEST PBS MUSICAL PRODUCTION "MUSIC AND MYTH"

Grammy award-winning Native American artist Robert Mirabal is once again bringing a brilliant multidimensional work of art to life with the creation of his latest theatrical concert production,Music and Myth. The performance will be filmed live at The Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31, with its television debut set for March 2014 on PBS. A DVD and CD containing additional material from the concert will also be made available with various levels of donation pledges during fundraising programs scheduled during the year, as well through retail outlets nationwide and digital downloads.

Concerts will begin both nights at 7:00 p.m. MDT. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling The Santa Fe Opera Box Office at (800) 280-4654 or online by visiting the "Calendar" at www.santafeopera.org.

Mirabal's Music and Myth will feature the legends, myths and history inspired by the People of the Native American Pueblos of the American Southwest, through music, dance, and Mirabal's own inimitable and charismatic story-telling. Mythological characters, such as the Corn Maidens, the Raven Mocker, Drought, the Twin Warriors and the Pollen Child-wearing colorful tribal dress, will magically come to life throughout the production, bringing Pueblo culture and mythology to life in a timeless contemporary expression.

The production will feature new compositions by Mirabal and his musical collaborators, Grammy winning musician Larry Mitchell and acclaimed choreographer Rulan Tangen, as well as hits from Mirabal's previous albums. Mirabal's band, and additional accomplished musicians will play both Native American and modern instruments.  Authentic Native American Pueblo dancers in colorful regalia will also be showcased.

Music and Myth is Mirabal's first large-scale production since his 2001 critically acclaimed PBS special, Music from a Painted Cave, which garnered national recognition and has since been unsurpassed in Native American theatrical expression. Mirabal went on to win several honors, including two Native American Artist of the Year awards, three Songwriter of the Year awards, and two Grammy awards.

Taking the stage at The Santa Fe Opera has Mirabal coming full circle. As a young boy, he attended an opera at the famed location as part of the Pueblo Opera Program (POP), founded in 1973 to provide exposure to opera for Native Americans. The POP program is guided by an advisory committee which includes parents and elders from the Pueblos and reservations.

"I am thrilled to be taping Music and Myth at The Santa Fe Opera," says Mirabal. "As a child, we used to travel in buses from the pueblo at the start of each season and this was where I experienced my first taste of dramatic art. The operas were a part of my life and my musical dreams when I was a young boy living in the Taos Pueblo."

"Music and Myth is an honoring and mystical celebration of the agricultural world of the pueblos," continues Mirabal.  "The invitation in all of the Pueblo's prayers is not just for us ... they are for the whole world."

Mirabal is the show's co-executive producer, along with Art Fegan of Art Fegan Entertainment. JoAnn Young of Young Productions, Inc. will produce the PBS television special that will begin airing nationally in March 2014. The program is being funded in part by PBS, Vision Maker Media and other contributing sponsors, in cooperation with KNME-TV New Mexico PBS

THE ELECTRONIC ANTHOLOGY PROJECT OF DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE TO BE RELEASED ON JULY 2ND, 2013 ON ALL DIGITAL FORMATS

After 2012's release of "The Electronic Anthology Project Of Dinosaur Jr." between Built To Spill tours Brett Nelson set out to find the next EAP, his manager and longtime friend Matt Eidson suggested Death Cab For Cutie which to Nelson seemed the perfect band to follow up EAP/DJR. Where Dinosaur Jr's music had it's pop elements buried beneath distortion and feedback so Nelson could pick and choose what to embellish, Death Cab For Cutie's were right out in front, a challenge to Nelson to re-imagine the music but not try to play the hooks and melodies too blatantly.

Once Ben Gibbard agreed to the project Nelson spent the better part of the year making five demos and sending them to Gibbard to choose two for the final release. The results being "Soul Meets Body (off Plans from 2005) and "Champagne From A Paper Cup" (off Something About Airplanes from 1998). The two songs show DCFC's diversity in playing and writing styles from their inception to the massive popularity they have achieved today.

"Of Death Cab For Cutie" is Nelson's third release since The Electronic Anthology Project began in 2009 and is scheduled for release July 2nd, 2013 on colored 7" vinyl and also as a digital two song bundle for download.

Nelson has already begun trying to get other artists to do the next EAP for 2014 and is still working with Doug Martsch for a vinyl release of the The Electronic Anthology Project Of Built To Spill on vinyl remastered with bonus tracks for future release.

MUMFORD & SONS CANCEL BONNAROO APPEARANCE, JACK JOHNSON TO HEADLINE ON SATURDAY IN THEIR PLACE

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival was informed yesterday that Mumford & Sons had to cancel their Saturday headlining appearance due to bassist Ted Dwane's medical condition. In Mumford & Sons' place, festival organizers are pleased to announce that Jack Johnson will now headline Bonnaroo on Saturday night.
The staff at Bonnaroo have expressed wishes for Dwane to have a speedy recovery and look forward to the band returning to the festival in the future.

A Message from Jack Johnson:
I was on my way to Bonnaroo to sit in on a set with my friends ALO last night when we got the call asking if I could possibly help out and cover for Mumford and Sons. I heard the news about Ted Dwane and was happy to know that he was on his way to recovery.  I called my band and asked if they were up for it.  Long story short - they are headed this way.  I've got a lot of lyrics and chords to relearn by Saturday night.  I was here to play the first Bonnaroo and it is a very special festival to my band. We are excited to hit the stage again.  Get well Ted!

Aloha,
Jack
